Military Medal 'On the early morning of the 15th May, the battery in LAGNICOURT VALLEY, was in action in response to an 'S.O.S.' call, when an enemy 5.9" battery successfully counter-batteried it, causing many casualties. The enemy obtained a direct hit on one of our guns. Private ROBINSON immediately ran to the gun position with dressings to attend to the wounded men. He then ran to another position where he found that two gunners had been killed. He returned under very heavy fire to where some men had been withdrawn under a small bank, where he rendered every possible assistance. On several other occasions Private ROBINSON has behaved in the most gallant manner by his devotion to duty under heavy fire, and has earned the respect of the whole battery.'
