Military Medal 'On 9th August 1918 during attack on enemy positions between VAUVILLERS and LIHONS, Sergeant ROBINSON displayed conspicuous courage and initiative. His dash was exceptionally fine. Singlehanded he went out ahead of his platoon, and under heavy Machine Gun fire from the enemy, and captured a party of five of the enemy snipers who were moving into a fresh position to harass our advance. This action greatly facilitated the advance as many casualties were being sustained from these enemy snipers. During the whole advance Sergeant ROBINSON displayed the greatest courage and skill in leading parties of our troops forward to successive positions in the advance and continually exposed himself to heavy Machine Gun fire while pushing forward ahead of these troops. His example and his work greatly assisted in the capture of the objective.'
