War service: embarked from Melbourne, 17 June 1915. Joined 7th Bn at Gallipoli, 5 August 1915. Wounded in action, Lone Pine, 8-9 August 1915 (bomb wound, thumb). Evacuated, and arrived at Alexandria, 13 August 1915; admitted to 1st Australian General Hospital, Heliopolis, 14 August 1915. Discharged to light duties, 1 September 1915. Transferred to AIF Canteens, 20 May 1916. Proceeded from Alexandria, 30 May 1916; taken on strength AIF Kit Stores, London, 1 August 1916.
