Transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, 18 September 1917. Discharged from hospital and granted furlough, 24 September 1917, to report to No. 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 8 October 1917. Transferred to No. 4 Command Depot, Codford, 11 October 1917.

Proceeded overseas to France, 3 January 1918; rejoined unit, 10 January 1918.

Wounded in action, seconf occasion, 17 April 1918 (gas); admitted to No. 3 Australian Stationary Hospital, Rouen,19 April 1918; discharged to Australian Convalescent Depot, Le Havre, 14 June 1918; rejoined unit, 31 July 1918.
