War service: Egypt, Palestine. Embarked Sydney, 3 September 1917; disembarked Suez, 19 October 1917, and marched into Isolation Camp. Marched out of Reinforcements' Camp, Moascar, 20 November 1917; marched into Machine Gun Training Squadron, 20 November 1917. Detached to Imperial School of Instruction, 9 December 1917; marched into Machine Gun Training Squadron, 29 December 1917. Proceeded to unit, 3 January 1918; taken on strength of 3rd Machine Gun Squadron, in the field, 8 January 1918. Admitted to No 3 Light Horse Field Ambulance, 4 June 1918, and transferred to No 66 Casualty Clearing Station, the same day; to Ambulance Train, 5 June 1918; to No 76 Casualty Clearing Station, 6 June 1918; to No 47 Stationary Hospital, Gaza, 6 June 1918; to No 44 Stationary Hospital, Kantara, 12 June 1918; to No 31 General Hospital, Cairo, 14 June 1918 (diarrhoea); to Convalescent Depot, Cairo, 19 June 1918; discharged, 22 June 1918, and marched into Machine Gun Training Squadron, the same day.
