Military Medal 'During the attack on the morning of 8th August, 1918, East of VILLERS-BRETONNEUX, near AMIENS, Sergeant SAXBY displayed splendid courage and gallantry in attacking enemy posts. Under Lieutenant FLEMING he assisted in the attack on three strong enemy positions. He unhesitatingly rushed party after party of the enemy with absolute disregard for his own safety and his determined spirit was responsible for the capture of 30 prisoners and 4 machine guns. This N.C.O. set a splendid example to his men whom he inspired with great confidence.'
