Wounded in action, 15 May 1917 (gun shot wound, right arm), and admitted to 14th Field Ambulance, and transferred to Casualty Clearing Station; to No 1 South African General Hospital, Abbeville, 16 May 1917; to No 5 Convalescent Depot, Cayeux, 22 May 1917; discharged to Base Depot, 1 June 1917; rejoined Bn, in the field, 28 June 1917.

On leave to United Kingdom, 4 February 1918; rejoined Bn from leave, 22 February 1918.
