Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty as forward obervation officer. He established communication under very difficult conditions. He obtained and transmitted most valuable information, and assisted in the capture of six prisoners and a number of enemy maps. He showed a splendid initiative and disregard of danger.
