'At ARMENTIERES on the night 26th/27th February, 1917, on the occasion of a raid on the enemy trenches by a Composite Battalion of his Brigade, Private SEVERINO displayed great bravery and devotion in rescuing his wounded comrades. He belonged to the left attacking Company, and he returned three times to the enemy wire, which was being heavily barraged by artillery and machine gun fire, and each time brought back with him to our parapet a wounded comrade.
