Found guilty of crime at Alexandria, 16 May 1915, and forfeits total of 4 days' pay.

To Hospital from Mustapha Camp, 29 July 1915; admitted to Divisional Base Infirmary, Cairo, 4 August 1915; discharged to duty, 5 August 1915 (total period of treatent for venereal disease). To hospital sick, Gallipoli Peninsula, 6 October 1915; admitted to General Hospital, Gibraltar, 15 October 1915 (orchitis). Proceeded to England on HS 'Caledonia', 1 November 1915; admitted to 2nd Southern General Maudlin Street Hospital, Bristol, 6 November 1915.

Returned to Eastern Expeditionary Force with 26th Draft, 24 March 1916; taken on strength of 10th Field Artillery Brigade, Serapeum, and posted to 110th Battery, 4 May 1916.

Embarked Alexandria and proceeded to join the British Expeditionary Force, 5 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 13 June 1916.

Admitted to 15th Australian Field Ambulance, 14 April 1917, and transferred to Divisional Receiving Station; to 56th Casualty Clearing Station, 15 April 1917; to Ambulance Train '24', 18 April 1917, and admitted 2nd Convalescent Depot, Rouen, 19 April 1917; discharged to base details, 15 May 1917 (classified A); marched into Australian General Base Depot, Etaples, from 5th Australian Infantry Base Depot, 18 May 1917; taken on strength of 4th Divisional Ammunition Column, 29 May 1917.
