Meritorious Service Medal

'During three years Staff Sergeant Bowden has been conspicuous for continuous good service and devotion to duty. As Chief and Confidential Clerk with the Third Australian General Hospital since the inception of the Unit, Staff Sergeant Bowden has been mainly responsible for the efficient organising and supervision of all clerical work. Even during the the strain of work in times of stress, this N.C.O. by his unremitting toil has been an example to all ranks.'
