Military Medal 'Near VILLERS BRETONNEUX on morning of 4th July, 1918 this man displayed great courage in the handling of his Lewis Machine Gun. At one time when the line was temporarily held up by a Machine Gun post garrisoned by 9 of the enemy, he rushed forward alone firing his gun from the hip, with the result that he wounded 7 of the enemy and captured the post.'
