'During the operations near ETRICOURT on the night 30th September/1st October 1918 Private STORR P.S. showed much determination and initiative and the utmost disregard of danger. He was engaged with another Signaller in establishing telephone communication between his Battalion and the Brigade. of their own valition they set out to effect a connection by linking up through another Battalion which was in between, and successfully carried through this work in the darkness and rain and under considerable enemy shell fire. Through the remainder of that night and during the following morning Private STORR attended to the repairs which repeatedly occurred; due to the shell fire. He also assisted the work of maintaining the lines to the various Companies and showed the greatest willingness to execute repairs in however dangerous a locality it had occurred.'
