Military Medal 'Is strongly recommended for conspicuous gallantry on the morning of the 11th April, 1917, in the attack on the Hindenburg Line near BULLECOURT. He was in charge of a bombing party which succeeded in bombing the enemy back 200 yards along the Hindenburg Line towards BULLECOURT on the left flank of the line. He also bombed down a communication trench where the enemy were very active and built a bomb stop, which proved very effective. His pluck and determination were of great assistance and a tower of strength to the bombing parties.'
