Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 17 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, 23 June 1916.

Admitted to 14th Field Ambulance, 28 October 1916 (scabies); transferred to 39th Casualty Clearing Station, 30 October 1916; discharged to duty, 10 December 1916; rejoined Bn, 11 December 1916.

On furlough to England, 5 August 1917; rejoined Bn, 21 August 1917.
