'When delivering Stone between HELL FIRE CORNER and HOOGE on 21st September, 1917, Sergeant TEAGUE showed particular coolness and devotion to duty under enemy shell fire. Having performed the duties detailed to him, he without specific instructions returned with other lorries to show them the portion of the road requiring filling up owing to enemy shells. On the night of 19th September, 1917, this N.C.O. showed particular coolness when in charge of 10 lorries at BIRR CROSS ROADS and although under consistent shell fire satisfactorily completed his duties.'
