Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He brought his troops into action against an ammunition convoy under heavy machine gun fire. He drove off the drivers and then dashed into the midst of the convoy and captured it. His gallant bearing was an inspiration to all ranks.'
