Military Medal 'In the attack near ZONNEBEKE on the 26th September, 1917, Corporal THOMSPON saw a badly wounded man lying out in an exposed position. He went immediately to his assistance but was himself wounded on the way. THOMPSON nevertheless gallantry persisted and succeeded in bringing the man to cover. He then returned to his post in the trench and remained on duty until ordered back by his Platoon Commander next day.'
