Military Medal 'During the attack of 4th Australian Division on the morning of the 11th April, Gunner THOMPSON showed remarkable coolness and resourcefulness in keeping communication of the 39th Battery intact under heavy Artillery fire. On the morning of the 15th April during enemy attack, he again maintained his Battery communication for some time under heavy enemy Artillery barrage, until finally wounded.'
