Meritorious Service Medal

'Is brought to notice for his most valuable work during the period 17th September 1918 to 31st December 1918. this non commissioned officer is a member of the Brigade Headquarters Orderly Room Staff, and his work - often performed under the most trying circumstances - has always been satisfactorily done. During the periods when the Brigade was constantly moving, he was unsparing of self in his devotion to duty. Corporal THURMAN has served with the Brigade for a very long period and his good work, always cheerfully and willingly done, has been an inspiration to those around him both when the Brigade has been in the line, as when in back Areas.'
