Proceeded to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, Gallipoli, 15 May 1915; admitted to 2nd Field Ambulance, Anzac Cove, 18 August 1915 (influenza); embarked for Alexandria, 18 August 1915; admitted to No 2 General Hospital, Cairo, 25 August 1915 (influenza); transferred to British Red Cross Hospital, Montazah, 25 September 1915; found guilty, 14 October 1915 of being absent without leave from 4 October, 14 October 1915: awarded 10 days’ Detention; admitted to Overseas Base, Alexandria, 14 October 1915; rejoined unit, Gallipoli, 13 November 1915; disembarked Alexandria, 25 December 1915.

Marched out to Serapeum, 23 February 1916.

To hospital, 14 June 1916 (sick); admitted to 2nd Light Horse Field Ambulance, 15 June 1916 (haemorrhoids); transferred to Casualty Clearing Station, Kantara, 15 June 1916; to 31st General Hospital, Port Said, 16 June 1916 (haemorrhoids); discharged to duty, 18 July 1916; rejoined unit, Et Maler, 19 July 1916.

Killed in action, 28 March 1918.
