Military Medal

'For consistent devotion to duty and coolness under enemy shell fire. Lorry 11741 in charge of Driver TODD became bogged at Sheet 28.I.11.d.4.5 near BIRR CROSS Roads on the morning of 17th September, 1917. Under supervision of a Sergeant, TODD first dismantled his lorry, and later assembled and materially assisted in extricating the lorry when under continuous fire from the enemy.'
