Military Medal 'For gallantry and devotion to duty. During Active Operations, as N.C.O. in charge of Stretcher-bearers at HAMEL. East of CORBIE on July 4th, 1918 CERISY and MORCOURT East of CORBIE from 8th August to 13th August 1918. Near LIHONS, Est of VILLERS-BRETONNEUX from 16th August to 24th August, 1918. Sergeant Tucker set a fine example to his men under very heavy enemy shell and machine gun fire and bombs. His courage and cheerfulness and organisation of his sector was such that the evacuation of wounded was most successfully carried out and was undoubtedly the means of saving many lives. During the period ......... to 14-9-18 Sergeant Tucker carried out most efficiently the duties of Warrant Officer Nursing duties, "A" Section. This N.C.O.'s fine example under heavy shell fire and adverse weather conditions has been of the greatest value in assisting to maintain the efficiency and moral of this unit. I consider him most deserving of special recognition for period 25-2-18 to 15-9-18.'
