Military Medal 'On the 8th August, 1918, at CERISY, the battery came under heavy enfilade fire from an enemy 4.2" battery, and this N.C.O. though wounded, continued his duties as No. 1 until evacuated in the evening. Throughout the day he displayed great courage, devotion to duty and an utter disregard for personal safety, and set a splendid example to his men.'
