Transferred to Artillery Details, 13 November 1917.

Proceeded overseas to France, 29 November 1917; taken on strength, 3rd Field Artillery Brigade, 6 December 1917.

Wounded in action, 29 March 1918 (gassed), and admitted to 1st Australian Field Ambulance and transferred to 2nd Casualty Clearing Station.

Died of gas poisoning, 29 March 1918.
