Military Medal 'At BELLICOURT on the 29th September 1918 this man was a No. 1 Lewis Gunner. He showed splendid initiative and bravery in repeatedly manoeuvering his gun into positions favourable for covering fire, thus materially assisting the advance of his company. HIS work throughout the whole three days during which the Battalion was engaged in these operations was splendid.'
