Medals

Military Cross

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When two companies had become disorganized under heavy shell fire and had lost all their officers, he went forward and organized them. He afterwards did most valuable work in organizing a counter-attack, and his coolness under fire and utter disregard of personal danger was most marked throughout.'

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during an attack.
