Distinguished Conduct Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. His work as a bomber was most gallant. Though wounded in two places he rushed forward, bombed and stopped an enemy counter attack. He remained on duty, doing splendid work, until wounded for the third time. He showed an utter disregard of danger, and set a very fine example to all ranks.'
