Contracted meningitis; admitted to 24th Stationary Hospital, 1 July 1917; discharged to duty, 11 July 1917.

Taken on strength, 15th Light Horse Regiment, 1 July 1918.

Accidentally wounded (deep wound. middle finger, left hand: hand slipped while opening tin), 4 October 1918 GOC, 5th Light horse Brigade, found that the injury was accidental and that no disciplinary action was to be taken.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Demosthenes', 28 January 1919; disembarked Western Australia, 22 February 1919; discharged, 12 June 1919.
