'Pioneer Watson deserves recognition for courageouswork as Stretcher Bearer during attack on HINDENBURG LINE South of REINCOURT on 11th April, 1917. Despite the fact that enemy Machine Guns swept the territory covered by the Stretcher Bearers they kept on with their work with remarkable devotion to duty and Private Watson was a leading example in his utter disregard for his own safety. His work calls for recognition.'
