Meritorious Service Medal

'For conspicuous devotion to duty. This N.C.O. has carried out his duties in a splendid manner. As both the Gun Line and Wagon Lines his work has been of the highest standard. During the operations August to November, 1918, by his fine soldierly bearing and example under shell fire, he has maintained a strong spirit of comradeship and esprit de corps in the men under his control which has greatly enhanced the fighting efficiency of the Unit.
