Proceeded overseas to France, 30 April 1918; taken on strength, 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column, in the field, 9 May 1918.

Detached to 4th Army Trench Mortar School, 20 July 1918; rejoined unit, 8 August 1918.

Admitted to 5th Australian Field Ambulance, 28 February 1919 (sprained right ankle); transferred same day to 55th Casualty Clearing Station; to Ambulance Train No 19, 3 March 1919, and admitted to 14th General Hospital, 4 March 1919; to England, 6 March 1919, and admitted to Military Hospital, Lewisham, 7 March 1919; discharged on furlough, 19 March 1919, to report to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 2 April 1919.

Discharged in London (demobilised), 4 April 1919.
