Medals

Military Medal

'At FLERS on the night of 5th/6th November, 1916, Sergeant BRIMAGE displayed conspicuous bravery under fire in reconnoitring a position to which a party under his charge and attached to 14th Field Company Engineers had been ordered to go. He led the party there an subsequently went back and brought along two of the party who were stuck in the mud in "No Man's Land". His calmness in carrying out his work under the enemy's fire had a great moral effect on his men. He was afterwards wounded.'
