Embarked Sydney, 12 May 1916; disembarked Egypt (date not recorded).

Embarked Alexandria, 6 June 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 16 June 1916. Proceeded overseas to France, 28 August 1916; taken on strength, 50th Bn, 16 September 1916.

Injured right knee; strain 'of a trivial nature'; 'soldier does not claim that he was on duty when accident occurred'. Admitted to 2nd Stationary Hospital, 29 October 1916 (abrasion, right knee); discharged to unit, 8 November 1916; rejoined unit, 10 November 1916.

Allotted letter 'A' to regimental number 1760, 16 January 1917.

Killed in action, 2 April 1917.
