Military Medal 'On the 12th October, 1917, near YPRES, Gunner BRISBANE was on duty at the O.P. as Telephonist. During his 24 hours of duty he was continually subjected to very heavy enemy shell fire, while out repairing lines from the O.P., and while acting as Runner when communications were broken down. On several occasions he carried messages back from the O.P., and while acting as Runner when communications were broken down.
