Medals |
Distinguished Conduct Medal 'He has been a member of the battery since its formation. For some time he was N.C.O. in charge of the signallers. Apart from his technical ability and leadership, he has frequently shown gallantry and fearless bearing under fire. On one occasion when the battery was heavily shelled and the personnel withdrawn, he maintained a telephone post in the open trench under fire for five hours, refusing relief, and keeping touch with his group headquarters for the information of his battery commander. He has done consistent good work.'
