Embarked Fremantle, 9 June 1915, disembarked Alexandria, 2 July 1916. Embarked Alexandria, with 28th Bn, on HT 'Ivernia' to join Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, 4 September 1915.

Wounded in action, Gallipoli, 10 October 1915 (shrapnel wound, sacrum); admitted to 7th Field Ambulance, 10 October 1915; transferred to 16th Casualty Clearing Station, 10 October 1915.

Died at sea on board HS 'Formosa', 12 October 1915 (shrapnel wound, back); body sent ashore and buried, Mudros, 12 October 1915.
