Admitted to 1st Casualty Clearing Station, Gallipoli, 28 November 1915 (piles); transferred to Hospital Ship, 30 November 1915, and admitted to St Elms Hospital, Malta, 4 December 1915; transferred to Ghain Tuffisha Camp, 6 January 1916. Found guilty, 17 January 1916, of disobedience on parade in breaking out of ranks: awarded 14 days' Field Punishment No 2. Admitted to hospital, Malta, 11 February 1916. Rejoined 6th Bn, Serapeum, Egypt, 11 March 1916.
