'During the operation south of MORLANCOURT, near ALBERT, on the night 10/11th June, 1918, on arriving at the objective, his Lewis Gun was put out of action. he immediately obtained a German machine gun, organised a party to collect enemy ammunition, brought the gun into action, and inflicted a considerable number of casualties on the enemy.'
