Military Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in the vicinity of MOLENAARELSTOEK on the 4th October 1917. Pte. WRIGHT displayed the utmost courage and initiative in assisting to lay out a forward track. It was partly due to this soldier's coolness and total disregard for danger that this forward work as accomplished under a heavy barrage fire. After this track was marked out he assisted in transporting the wounded and his actions were commended by various Infantry Officers to his Company Commander. East of YPRES.'
