Military Medal 'At GUEUDECOURT on the night 24th/25th February, 1917, Private Wright is recommended for gallantry in the field and special good work as scout. This man entered and reconnoitred the enemy's trench and covered the flank so as to guard against surprise. He showed great coolness and daring and set a splendid example of courage and devotion to duty.'

On the night of the 10th he was one of a patrol that went through the wire and reconnoitred the enemy trench; he returned with valuable information. he assisted to guide the attackers in the advance on the 11th April and showed great coolness and courage. His work is specially worthy.'
