Military Medal 'On the night 24th/25th September, 1917, at HOOGE, when this Battery was moving its position the track was heavily shelled. Corporal WRIGHT materially assisted Sergeant H.H. BAKER under very heavy fire in getting a bogged gun out and in repairing a shell hole. At this stage the wheel driver of the gun was hit and his horses became out of control. Corporal WRIGHT succeeded in mounting and with great skill and coolness, and notwithstanding the heavy fire, got the gun into the new position. He displayed great bravery and determination.'
