Statement, 4290 Pte C. FULLER, C Company, 54th Bn, 24 August 1916: 'Pte H. Hepenstall, XII. [Platoon] C [Company] stated that he saw a man lying out, apparently dead who he was almost certain was Yabsley. I am afraid it is only too true that he was killed.'
