Military Medal 'At NOREUIL on the night of 3rd/4th April, 1917 he boldly pushed forward patrol to gain touch with the enemy. His patrol covered an extensive area and reached as far forward as 1700 yards. The information he gained enabled us to advance our whole front line with little opposition.'
