Meritorious Service Medal

'For consistent good work and devotion to duty. Whilst in France for the past two years, this Non Commissioned Officer has done consistently good work not only with the Q.M. Store but also with the successful delivery of rations to the front line troops. The resourcefulness of this Non Commissioned Officer is shown in the fact that whilst the Battalion has been in France, the troops have never missed a meal. At times whilst in the forward zone, this Non Commissioned Officer has shown great courage and devotion to duty and has set an example to all those under him.'
