Found guilty, 19 January 1918, of isobedience of orders and being drunk from 7:15pm, 18 January 1918, until 6:55am, 19 January 1918; awarded 48 hours' detention, forfeiture of 3 days' pay.

Disembarked Southampton, England, 24 January 1918, and marched into 6th Training Bn and allotted letter 'A' to Regimental Number owing to duplication.

Absent without leave from 26 February 1918 until 9pm 28 February 1918, Fovant: awarded 6 days' confined to camp with forfeiture of 6 day's pay, 1 March 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 15 April 1918; marched into Based Depot, 17 April 1918, and proceeded to join unit.

Taken on strength, 24th Bn, in the field, 26 April 1918.

Wounded in action, 19 May 1918; admitted and transferred to 6th Casualty Clearing Station (gun shot wound, left thigh), 20 May 1918; transferred to Ambulance Train, and admitted to 26th General Hospital, Etaples; transferred to England, 24 May 1918, and admitted to General Hospital Eastbourne; transferred to 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 14 June 1918; discharged to No 4 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 20 June 1918.

Marched out to Overseas Training Brigade, Longbridge Deverill, 30 July 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 8 August 1918; marched into Base Depot, Havre, 10 August 1918; marched out to unit, 12 August 1918; rejoined 24th Bn, in the field, 13 August 1918.

Killed in action, France, 5 October 1918.
