Transferred to 54th Bn, 14 February 1916; taken on strength, Tel el Kebir, 16 February 1916.

Fell out on march to Ferry Post, and transferred to 5th Divisional Details, Tel el Kebir, 27 March 1916; admitted to New Zealand Stationary Hospital, 28 March 1916 (heat stroke); discharged to duty, 3 April 1916.

Transferred to 60th Bn, 18 May 1916, and taken on strength, Ferry Post.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Reported Missing, 19 July 1916.

Now, 25 August 1916, reported 'Killed in Action, 19 July 1916'.

Statement, 3183 Pte E.H. MILLERSHIP, 60th Bn (patient, Northants War Hospital, Duston, England), 14 October 1916: 'Informant states that on July 19th 1916 at the right of Fleurbaix some of his Coy found Santwyk's identification disc, he had evidently been blown up by a shell. He is posted as killed.'
