Marched out to Anzac Mounted Division Train, 6 July 1918; taken on strength, 32nd Company, AASC, in the field, 9 July 1918, and appointed Driver. Detached to 36th Company, AASC, 19 July 1918; rejoined unit from detachment, 23 August 1918. Found guilty, 25 August 1918, of neglect to the prejudice of good order and military discipline, on 25 August 1918, in that he failed to wake the Orderly NCO: awarded 120 hours' Field Punishment No 2. Admitted to 47th Stationary Hospital, 17 November 1918 (malaria); transferred to 44th Stationary Hospital, 20 November 1918; to 14th Australian General Hospital, Port Said, 21 November 1918; discharged, 21 January 1919; marched in to AASC Training Depot, Moascar, 25 January 1919; rejoined 32nd Company, AASC, in the field, 2 February 1919.
