Marched out to Australian Mounted Division Train, 28 March 1918; taken on strength, 37th Company, AASC, in the field, 29 March 1918, and appointed Driver. Admitted to 66th Casualty Clearing Station, 28 October 1918 (gonorrhoea), and reverted to Trooper; transferred to 4th Convalescent Recovery Station, 30 October 1918; to 32nd convalescent hospital, Beirut, 1 November 1918; to 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital, Moascar, 11 November 1918; total period of treatment for venereal disease: 49 days; condition rediagnosed as subaceous cyst, 15 December 1918, and forfeiture of pay ceased; discharged to duty, 23 December 1918. Found guilty, 30 December 1918, of (1) drunkenness; (2) overstaying pass from 2130 to 2330: awarded 7 days' confined to camp, and forfeited 10 days' pay. Admitted to 2nd Australian Stationary Hospital, 7 January 1919 (not yet diagnosed); discharged to 10 days' sick leave, 19 January 1919; granted 7 days' leave extension, 29 January 1919.
