Meritorious Service Medal 'During the period September 17th to December 31st, 1918, this Warrant Officer has served with the Divisional Ammunition column and performed his duties in a remarkably efficient manner. Under all circumstances he used great discretion, tact and ability in handling his men, at the same time displaying great zeal and energy in carrying out his work. His exemplary soldierly conduct has set an example which has been of immense service and assistance in the administration of this unit.'
